Julia Kourelakos

I'm a senior at Pine View School in Osprey, FL. After taking a Java class at the Fab Lab, I became interested in learning more programming languages and taught myself how to code in Python. In 2019, I designed and led a summer camp and afterschool class in game design using Python to middle schoolers here at the Fab Lab. In summer 2020, I taught another middle school game design camp as well as a new camp using Scratch for elementary school students. I am this year's Sunshine State STEM scholar for Sarasota County and currently co-president of my school's Bio Olympiad club. I compete on my school's Academic Olympics and Math Modeling teams. I have also achieved silver level in USACO, am the conference coordinator for my school's Model UN club and a six-time Soprano 1 in the Florida All-State Choir.
