Aerospace Club (formerly Rocketry Club) is launching an exciting 2025-2026 chapter. Led by longtime Fab Lab student leader Presley Reich and club mentor Russell Finger, the team is designing, building, and flying a solar-powered UAV.
Twenty-two students from six local high schools are gaining hands-on experience in project management, technical design, and problem-solving across three groups: airframe design, avionics & solar power, and scientific payload.
Through mentorship and collaboration, the club helps students explore physics, engineering, and programming—fueling innovation and a passion for flight.
"I believe that space exploration has the power to bring people together and to inspire us to achieve great things. The fact that this project is a pioneering effort for high school students makes it all the more meaningful to me. It shows that age is not a barrier to achieving great things and that with hard work and determination, anyone can make a difference in the world." - Sebastian Grabowski, Rocketry Club student founder
